Iftar recipe of the day: Figs, yogurt and honey




Here is a Superfast, supertasty daily recipes to help you get iftar on the table without too much work

INGREDIENTS

1 cup full-fat yogurt
1/2 cup of water
2 cinnamon sticks
5 whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon aniseed
8 tablespoons of Pure Leaf honey
1 tablespoon finely chopped mint
A dash orange blossom water
12 fresh figs

PREPARATION

1. Put the honey in a pot and add the water. Add spices and bring to boil and simmer on medium heat until water thickens. Add the figs.
2. Cover and cook until tender (about 10 to 15 mins).
3. Stir yogurt with three tablespoons of the honey, mint, lemon juice and blossom water
4. Serve figs with a spoonful of yogurt and a sprinkle of the walnuts.
